Naijia Guan was born in July 1956, got her Bachelor degree (1981) and Master degree (1984) at Nankai University and Ph.D. degree from Ruhr-Universitaet Bochum (1990) in Germany. Since 1985, she has been working at Nankai University as a teacher assistant, lecturer and associate professor. She was promoted to a Professor and doctor’s supervisor in 1996.

Dr. Guan has published a monograph (in German), more than 100 papers and over 10 patents (as proposer or co-worker). In 2004, she won Second Prize for Natural Science of Tianjin. Now, Dr. Guan is the standing director of Chinese Chemical Society and the vice-director of Zeolite Committee. She is also the committeeman of Catalytic Committee of Chinese Chemical Society and Air Committee of Chinese Enviromental Society. Moreover, she has been serving as pluralistic professor of Tianjin Normal University and Shihezi University and as member of editorial board of Chemical Journal of Chinese University, Chinese Jounal of Catalysis, Acta Petrolei Sinica(Petroleum Processing Section) and Petrochemical Technology.
